According to ancient legend, a phoenix is a mythical bird known for rising from its ashes. Just as the phoenix often serves as a symbol of renewal and hope, our 16th season serves as a rebirth of Stageworks Theatre.
We are proud to announce our 2021/2022 season which looks slightly different from prior seasons, with new programming and styling! You can check and buy tickets and subscriptions at stageworkstx.org. Same great quality and variety served up in a slightly different way.
We kick off the season with the long-overdue musical comedy, Monty Python’s Spamalot. In December, we ring in the holiday with the premiere performance of Holiday Follies, a festive variety show bringing together decades of holiday classic entertainment performed with a live band, comedy, and nostalgic fun for the whole family.
We are also so excited to announce Stageworks After Hours, which extends the boundaries of our audiences while introducing works and concerts that are fun, “edgy” and sometimes “alternative.” Performed in our Fischer Studio, this year we present the comedy Puffs, a fast-paced romp through the “Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic. For POTTERphiliacs, Puffs exudes a jovial, winking fondness for all things Harry!” And, kick off your July 4th celebrations with a 40-year cult classic with limited, live performances of The Rocky Horror Show.
