During our run of 9 to 5 the Musical, Stageworks Theatre is all about Women Supporting Women!
As part of this theme, we’re excited to share that our Thursday night performances of 9 to 5 the Musical will be Ladies’ Nights! All ladies in attendance will receive a complimentary beverage of their choice.
As part of our Ladies’ Night initiatives, we are partnering with Dress for Success Houston.
Dress for Success Houston
Since 1998, Dress for Success Houston has been dedicated to empowering women to achieve economic independence. They provide a network of support, professional attire, and development tools that equip Houston-area women with the resources they need for long-term employment.
Dress for Success Houston offers over 20 programs that give women in the area the chance to participate in workshops including:
Job search skills
Career Education
Job Retention
Goal Setting & Decision Making
Responsibility & Accountability
And more!
Weekly seminars are taught by career coaches and HR professionals with The Women’s Fund. Job Search Teams and Skills assist clients through networking, motivation, mock interviews, resume review, and LinkedIn workshops.
Dress for Success Houston also provides professional attire and interview preparation through their suiting program. During her suiting appointment, the client receives one-on-one attention from a volunteer personal shopper to select a complete interview outfit. She then participates in First Impressions which helps them prepare for her upcoming interview. Once a client lands a position, she is invited back to choose additional pieces for her career wardrobe.
All services are provided at no cost to clients due to generous donors.

How to Support
As part of our partnership with Dress for Success Houston during the run of 9 to 5 The Musical, we will be collecting items in the lobby before each performance.
We will be collecting the following high-need items:
Gently used handbags/briefcase style bags
Women’s closed-toe shoes

The show runs September 8, 2023 through September 24, 2023. Ladies' Nights will be held on Thursday, September 14 and Thursday, September 21.
