Season Auditions
2026-2027
Stageworks Theatre is holding Season Auditions for our upcoming 2026–2027 season, as well as additional performance opportunities including specialty events such as the Gothic Gala, Shining Stars Gala, and other immersive productions throughout the year. These auditions are designed to build a comprehensive pool of performers to be considered across the entire season.

Rehearsals typically run 6 weeks for musicals and 4 weeks for straight plays. Rehearsals run Monday-Thursday from 7pm-10pm for both musicals and straight plays, with musicals also holding Saturday and/or Sunday rehearsals from 1pm-4pm as needed. Thursday pick-up rehearsals may be called once productions open.

AUDITION INFORMATION

Season Auditions will take place on May 23rd (Voice & Acting) and May 24th (Movement Call).

Actors wishing to audition for musicals should plan to attend both the May 23rd and May 24th dates.

These are general season auditions only. Casting will NOT be finalized from these auditions.

Season auditions allow directors and creative teams to identify talent early and streamline show-specific auditions.

We are seeking performers of all backgrounds, ethnicities, identities, and experience levels who are:

Strong storytellers
-
Collaborative artists
-
Open to ensemble-driven work
-
Interested in both traditional productions and immersive performance experiences

Selected performers will be invited to callbacks for specific productions.

All auditions are open to the community and parts may be cast with actors of any ethnicity.

Actors must be at least 18 years old to attend Season Auditions. Juvenile actors will be called to individual show auditions as needed.

Actors will be asked to note which productions they are auditioning for on the Audition Form. Please make sure to know your schedule and availability!

A modest gas stipend is paid to all actors 18 years of age or older.
WHAT TO PREPARE
IF AUDITIONING ONLY FOR MUSICALS:

Schedule an audition time slot on both May 23rd (Voice & Acting Auditions) and May 24th (Movement Call).

Prepare 60–90 seconds of a song that showcases your vocal range and storytelling ability.

If you would like to be considered for multiple productions, you may prepare two contrasting 45-second cuts.

Learn the dance combination prior to attending the Movement Call (watch dance combination video HERE) as it will not be taught. The combination will be briefly reviewed, and actors will perform it in groups.
IF AUDITIONING ONLY FOR PLAYS:

Headshot and resume, stapled together.

Be prepared to note which productions you would like to be considered for and list any known conflicts.

Actors attending Movement Call should dress comfortably for movement.
While in-person auditions are preferred and highly encouraged, actors who are not able to attend Season Auditions on May 23 and 24 can submit a video audition using the button below.
