Synopsis
Written as a remembrance of his sister Susan who died from complications of diabetes, Robert Harling’s beloved play is a tribute to the bond that six women share with one another. Set in a small-town beauty shop in the South, the women of Steel Magnolias trade gossip, recipes, and beauty tips. But when confronted with tragedy, the true strength of these members of “weaker sex” is revealed in their deep seated love for one another.
