Tuesday, Dec. 1 is #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving. This year, Stageworks Theatre could use your support more than ever. After eight excruciatingly long months of no theatre, we’re beyond excited to finally be back – responsibly!
Our doors are open, rehearsals and shows have started, and we’re leading the way in safely creating and delivering live theatre to the Houston area. To maintain social distancing, capacity for our shows and classes is limited to one-third of normal capacity. Even when operating at 100 percent, ticket sales and tuition only account for 60 percent of our operating budget. Delivering great theatre experiences as safely as possible will always be our TOP priority. As a result, we don’t anticipate running at full capacity for some time. That’s why this #GivingTuesday is so vital for Stageworks.
Here are two easy ways to support Stageworks Theatre:
1) Facebook – Starting at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, Facebook will match donations on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year, matching donations ended in the first hour – so mark your calendars! Click here to go to our page on Dec. 1 and make a donation.
