Peter and the Starcatcher

January 16 & 21, 2021
Ages 8-19

A play by Rick Elice, music by Wayne Barker, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. The production will be directed by Artistic Director, Michael Montgomery with Music Direction by Besty Fisher.

Tony-winning Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). A wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling novels. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair and the bonds of friendship, duty, and love.

All parts may be cast with actors of any ethnicity, ages 8-19, and most may be cast in any gender. This show requires physical stamina and improvisation skills.  Although this is not a musical, there are musical interludes. We don’t require vocal skills, but musical theatre experience is highly desired. We’d also love to see actors with special skills in musical instruments such as ukulele, violin and tumbling, dance and gymnastics.

To maintain safety protocols, the cast will be limited to 12-15 actors. All who audition must agree to our safety protocols.
