Master Class Series:  Vocal Techniques for the Pop Rock Musical

Pop rock music is storming the stage. Musicals written by Cyndi Lauper, Sara Bareilles, Abba, and Queen are just a few examples.

Yet, as a musical theatre actor, we were never really trained how to properly audition for this style, nor were we instructed how to use our voice to make some of these sounds...were we??

This series, Vocal Techniques for the Pop Rock Musical will arm you with proper techniques for pop/rock music.

This series will be presented by Stageworks (Houston Family Arts Center) alum, Jessie Brownie! Jessie graduated from Elon University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Through her time at Elon and many auditions, Jessie learned what New York casting directors are looking for - your pop rock rep, and proper techniques for voice longevity.  (The third session is an optional session for no additional fee, for those considering studying musical theatre in college.)
