Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's
Mary Poppins, Jr.
A few spots left in each class!
Performances the weekend of Nov 19-21, 2021 on the Garza Mainstage
Based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances and received multiple Olivier and Tony Awards nominations, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect Broadway Junior musical!
Your favorite practically perfect nanny takes center
stage in this Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious adventure based on the award-winning Broadway
musical and classic Walt Disney film.
The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."
$450 plus $35 registration feeWithin 24 hours of casting, all students must register to secure the spot. (Payment plans available)
For this session, all students attend one day, and only attend the second class if called by the director. This will allow us to move more quickly and spend more quality time with your student. If ages 10-11, students may audition for one class (Wed/Sat) or the other (Tues/Thurs) or for either. All of those auditioning may not make it into the class. We are looking for students who want to be here and work with the team to make a super production. If you're unsure if your student is ready for this level, call us and let's talk about it.
We held auditions on August 28 and casted the main roles, but still have class spots open. You may register directly at this time. Any registrants will be assigned parts in the first couple of weeks of class. This is a fun ensemble show with lots of opportunity to perform!
