Jana Ellsworth (she/her) is a private voice and acting teacher from Katy. She is very involved with theatre, having just returned from a two-year Broadway tour in Asia of Phantom of the Opera, where she played the alternate Carlotta. She is also involved with Theatre Under the Stars and Stageworks Theatre (of course!)

 

Jana studied vocal performance at Texas Tech University, and is a three-time Metropolitan Opera National Council award winner, having worked for opera companies and regional music theatre companies around the U.S. 

 

Jana says she is always impressed with theatre students’ drive and determination. She loves to see their ability to get in and get their hands dirty building sets, sweeping floors, and building costumes - all for the love of telling a story and being a part of that experience.
