Elizabeth Fisher, Music Director/Director
Betsy moved to Houston in 2013 after getting her Bachelor’s of Music in Musical Theatre from Ouachita Baptist. Since then, she has been teaching private voice/piano music lessons and music directing with theaters and highschools all across Houston. Betsy has been a Teaching Artist for Stageworks Theatre’s Academy, TUTS Humphey’s School of Music and TUTS Community Outreach, HITS Theatre, Mainstreet, and the Arts and Music Program of Tomball at Salem Lutheran School.
Betsy has a passion for helping students learn to tell their stories through the arts. She loves helping them learn to express themselves musically by singing or playing an instrument. Betsy’s musical journey started at a young age playing piano and violin and then in college she found her love of theatre. Betsy believes that no matter your age, 3 or 50, anyone can start their musical journey. Because of the influences of Suzuki violin and Faber's Piano Adventures curricula, she has a special passion for helping young kids get started in a fun and engaging way.
Roles Betsy has enjoyed doing are: Urinetown (Hope Caldwell), Secret Garden (Lily), The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Grace Bradley), Wait Until Dark (Susan Hendrix), Mousetrap (Miss Casewell), James the Giant Peach (Ladybug), Into the Woods (Florinda, Female Swing), Annie Get You Gun (Winnie Tate), Les Miserable (Factory Girl, Ensemble), Peter Pan (Mrs. Darling), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Ensemble), Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl)
