Brandon Tanner - Director, Music Director

Brandon Tanner (he/him) is a Houston native with nearly 20 years of experience in Arts education.  He studied Music Composition at the University of North Texas College of Music under Joseph Klein, Cindy McTee and Alan W. Oldfield.  Brandon began to teach instrumental music for Tomball ISD shortly thereafter, eventually becoming the Director of Jazz Studies for five years, before shifting gears to theater.  He is an active composer/arranger, private instructor and music consultant.  Brandon's music can be heard in video games, independent films, stage and other media.

Brandon's first production with Stageworks was as a cast member in "Beauty and the Beast".  He has since served as an Academy music director and director on several productions, including "Annie Jr.", "Mary Poppins Jr.", "Into the Woods" and "The Addams Family". He has appeared on-stage with Stageworks in their productions of "Twelve Angry Men", "The Drowsy Chaperone", "Harvey", "Mamma Mia!" and "She Loves Me".
