Stageworks Theatre announces open auditions for The Addams Family, a New Musical – July 17, 18 and 19, 2022

Directed by Ryan Scarlata, Choreography by Adam W. Delka, Music Direction by Katie Heaton, The Addams Family is Tony nominated comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness who has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—one that Gomez and Morticia have never met.  Everything changes for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for the “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

  • Performs: October 7-October 30, 2022, on the Garza Mainstage (12 shows Fri/Sat 730pm, Sun 3pm)

  • Rehearsals: August 7-October 6. Rehearsals are generally 3-5 days per week based on role (Monday-Thursday 7-10pm/Saturdays).  4 total conflicts are accepted (none during tech week), though not all actors are called to every rehearsal. Pick-ups during the show run on 10/13, 10/20, 10/27.

  • Compensation: Stipends, Non-Union

  • Inclusive Casting: The creative team is committed to casting practices that advance diversity and inclusion. All ethnicities, types, and abilities will be considered for every role with the exception of roles on which the storyline is dependent on a particular race. These exceptions are noted specifically in the character breakdown below.

  • Except for the character of Pugsley, actors must be 17 years of age or older on the date of the first rehearsal and genders listed in the breakdown below are specific to the pronouns used in the script, however the creative team may consider any gender identity for roles provided that the performer can execute the vocal requirements.
