Auditions: Buddy Holly

Buddy-Holly-and-the-Crickets-buddy-holly

Stageworks is considering producing a musical based on the life story of Buddy Holly. The decision to produce it depends on our ability to properly cast the show and elegantly tell this iconic story.

We are accepting video auditions for Buddy Holly and the Crickets, as well as several other key roles. All actors are expected to play their character’s musical instruments. The tentative dates for the performance are Friday, Saturday, and Sundays, during the weekends of April 2020.  Exact dates TBD.

Below are the roles we’re auditioning for now. (Other roles exist in the show.)

To audition, send a 3-minute or less video of yourself performing a song associated with that character.  You may send multiple videos if auditioning for multiple roles. For example, if you would like to audition for Buddy, but also play Double Bass, you may send a video for each Buddy and Joe.

We will accept video auditions through February 28, 2019. Please submit an “UNLISTED” YouTube audition link to artisticdirector@stageworkstx.org.  (If your video is listed as private, we won’t be able to view the link. Any video hosting is fine, as long as it’s accessible to us.)  Also, attach a completed audition form, along with headshot/bio in your email.
